Mid-West Series Vinyl Replacement
(For Chicago Land Market Only.)
 
Installation Instructions:
Replacement Window Egress System
For 26 X 32 Steel Egress Frame (Inside Opening Dim 31" wide X 36 1/2" Tall)
 
1.   Remove original aluminum window. Clean steel frame.
 
2.   Peel and stick drilling template to head, place behind window retaining step tight to frame sides.
 
3.   Center punch, the center of the circle closest to the vertical frame side.
 
4.   Drill a 5/16" dia hole through the steel and 1/2" into the concrete. Hole needs to be as vertical as possible.
 
5.   Repeat opposite side of frame top.
 
6.   Use a hack saw to cut off the tilt stops at the lower end of the vertical sides.
 
7.   Install the new Insulated Vinyl Window. Set the sill in first, pull the latch pins down and rotate the head into position. Make sure both latch pins go into the holes drilled at top of frame.

  • Removable wood bracing inside vinyl frame.
  • Interior and exterior face of unit poly protected.
  • Unique frame design allows concrete to bond unit to wall.
  • Hanging brackets and cones optional.
  • Unit comes with sash installed except for picture window size.
